is a Professor in the Psychology Department at the University of Guelph in Canada where she is Director of the Centre for Cross-Cultural Research. She received her PhD from York University in Toronto in 2002 and has been holding a faculty position since 2002 in Canada. Her research primarily examines the wide range of factors that could help to understand adaptation processes of newcomers and psychosocial factors related to minorities’ well-being. An essential characteristic of her research activities as a cross-cultural psychologist is that the projects that she is involved with are conducted either across cultures or with different ethnic groups within a culture. Her TEDx talk is titled, “Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Culture but Were Afraid to Ask.”
